Ninkie Zimasa Dyani has trained for 11 years in dance under the Jikeleza Dance Company; and one of the toughest decisions she had to make was to choose between UCT Dance School and UCT Drama School. Today, Zimasa values the decision she made to pursue her passion as an actress. Zimasa's powerful stage presence is a force to be reckoned with.
Her previous projects include: "Amathaf'a Entandabuzo" directed by Thami wakwa Mbongo, “Ezipikweni” directed by Bulelani Mabutyana, "THE THREEPENNY OPERA" directed by Clare Sopford , "ISISILA se HOBE" directed by Mfundo Tshazibane and Shakespeare's " TITUS ANDRONICUS" and "WOUNDS TO THE FACE" both directed by Geofrey Hyland.
Zimasa graduated her undergraduate in 2014 as a part of the UCT Performers diploma in Theatre, and 2015 she finished her postgraduate in PGCE also under UCT. She is grateful to the lecturers at UCT whom have moulded her as an actress, worked on her weaknesses and awoke her to her strengths in the process.
Zimasa is especially grateful to her voice and acting lecturers Clare Stopford and Mfundo Tshazibane whom have helped her find power and release In her voice and empowered her as an actress.
