Tiaan Slabbert won a Naledi Award winner for best supporting actor in a Drama (2017). He is a passionate, motivated and driven individual. He studied BA Drama at UP, graduating in 2014. The same year he performed a Mobile theatre, Onskuld (dir Quitin Wils).
In 2015 he appeared in a Shortfilm 'The Drug Tag' directed by Johan Scholtz. In 2016 he was in the multi award winning production, Porselein. He was also seen in Fantasy of Lights directed by Lizz Meiring. Tiaan will also be seen in a Lionsgate film Thula (2018) written and directed by Nerina de Jager. He also did multiple radio ads for Grootfm. This year Tiaan was seen at NCT with Pippie Langkous- DIE MUSICAL directed by Francois Theron. He is also apart of DEURnis one on one theatre starring in WINKELPOP ( Nominated best production at AARDKLOP 2017) and touring South-Africa with My Japan ( dir Andre Stolz ). Currently Tiaan is working at On Cue Theatre ( Childrene's Theatre ) with Litzy Katz. Tiaan can also be seen in a new KykNet series Knapse Kêrels.
Tiaan considers himself as being versatile and he has had the opportunity to work with Human Stark, Leandie du Randt, Napo Masheane, Nadia Valvekens, René van Rooyen, Sibusile Xaba, Armand Aucamp en Christia Visser.
He hopes that his passion, drive and versatility as an actor will lead to becoming a well-loved face in the entertainment industry.
