BIOGRAPHY
Damon Berry is a versatile actor, writer, voice artist and director.
His acting credits include the feature films Zenon (Disney) and Starship Troopers Maurauder (Galaxy 3), while his television work lists Unsung Hero, Zero Tolerance, and the BBC mini-series To the Ends of the Earth. He also performed a lead role in the comedy short SA/X, which won the Toronto Best Student Film award in 2005.
His stage work includes The Glass Menagerie, Whos Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Amadeus and A Midsummer Nights Dream.
As a voice artist, he has been behind the microphone for twelve years, doing numerous radio, television and corporate reads. Behind the scenes, he stars as the lovable muppet Neno in the award-winning educational television series Takalani Sesame, performing in nine languages.
He has written and directed four stage plays and four short films. His short film Sex Drive was nominated as a New York Minute Film Festival finalist in 2007, while Supermama won the Off-the-Shelf Film Festival Best Comedy award in 2008. He has two completed feature film scripts to his name, Get Lucky and The Adventures of Supermama.
He currently lives and works in Johannesburg.
Damon recently worked on the Dutch film, Black Butterflies, in which he portrayed the first huband to the legendary poet, Ingrid Jonker.
