Ashish G' is a qualified performing arts enthusiast as well as an IT graduate. His very first performance was at the tender age of 5. His is a professional Actor but also has keen interests in Script Writing and he plans to Direct in the future.

His childhood performances include a theatrical show Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves where he played the lead character, and a local Mnet film The Return in which he was a featured extra. He has played lead characters in numerous Adverts which include a Nutriday Yoghurt commercial, an ad for a UK Company by Ice Models, a Spectramed In-House ad, a Nedbank infomercial, Standard Bank Training Video, Cell C Training ad and others.

He has starred in a KZN based Theatre Musical, Show me your Jalwa in 2008, which was very popular in the Durban area and had sold out performances. He was also the face of Woolworths Suit Category which was extended to run for a year, due to popular public demand.

He excels on screen : He was cast as “Prosecutor James” in the local drama series Sokhulu and Partners, as “Dr. Patel” in the soapie Binnelanders, as well as “Officer Rawson” in the local movie Algiers. He is most famous for his recurring role in the SA soapie Isidingo as principle actor, “Prada Naiker”.

Ashish has had much Media exposure over the years ranging from Newspapers (local and National), Magazines and Television coverage. To list just a few, YOU Magazine, TV Plus Magazine, Sunday Times Newspaper, The Tribune, The Star Newspaper, The Post Newspaper, Top Billing TV show, 3 Talk with NoleenTalk and Saffron TV.

Ashish is very involved with community initiatives and charitable programs and events. He is the ambassador for the “Reaching Out Organisation”, a non-profitable charity aiding victims of abuse.

His most recent and honourable accolade was winning the “Favourite Newcomer Award” at the YOU Spectacular Awards 2011. He was also selected by the You Magazine panel and voted for by the PUBLIC
