Annette has been in the industry for 42 years and is best known for her role as ‘Maggie’ in Orkney Snork Nie.
She recently returned from the UK where she has been a Lecturer and Tutor at The Birmingham School of Acting, a Drama Department within the University of Central England. She has been teaching there for 7 years and her subjects were acting for Stage, Radio, Film and Television.
Annette has also been a voice specialist. She worked with Patsy Rodenberg and Lynn Darnley of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
She started out in theatre working for PACT, PACOFS, NAPAC, CAPAB, the Market Theatre, and The Free State Ensemble.
She has appeared in hit stage productions like Mattewis en Meraai, Hello and Goodbye, Hedda Gabler and Othello; and has worked with top directors including Francois Swart, Lucille Gillwald, Barney Simon en Robert Mohr
Her television credits include Mattewis and Meraai, Bosveld Hotel, Swart Kat, Joachem Verwey, Miss Julie, Orkney Snork Nie, The Fourth Reich and Egoli.
From 1969 to 2006 Annette acted in several films for Brigadiers, Witkoppen Film Studios, WESTEL Film Studios, Mimosa Films, Franz Marx Films and BBC Channel 4.
