Ann Juries was born in Eerste Rivier, a small town on the outskirts of Cape Town, where she acquired an interest for storytelling.

After completing her acting (and English) degree at the University of Cape Town with merit, Ann became part of Arepp Theatre for Life; performing in educational plays to the South African youth, similar to her involvement in community theatre during the Clanwilliam and the McGreggor Arts Projects.

Throughout her training she was popular for her dedicated work, her detailed character transformations and her eagerness to learn. Her training in music has fine-tuned her ear: she listens and takes direction well.
She is known for her commitment in "workshop" theatre plays and was part of The Homeless Orchestra, which received the "Best Student Production Award" as part of the National Arts Festival in 2012.

In 2014 Ann moved to Vietnam , where she dedicated her time there to studying the Vietnamese martial arts form of Vovinam. She is also a founding member of the Hai Phong Youth Theatre, where she held weekly drama and movement workshops , it is still running and has grown in numbers. During her time in Vietnam she directed various school performances including “The Toad Sues the Sun” and “ Fruit from Home” , she used drama as a medium to coach students with pronunciation issues.

In 2016 she returned to Cape Town and has been refining her presenting ability through appearing as a guest presenter on local entertainment and lifestyle shows like “Hectic99” and “Ek Se”. She regularly hosts a segment on Open Studio at Cape Town TV- the show is centred on South African communities and investigating what the public opinions, issues and dreams are.

Ann is a competent actress who accepts challenges with confidence and charm, she is versatile and transforms . She is a skilled actress who never fails to entertain.

On top of that, she now does Mixed Martial Arts so she doesn’t scare easily.
