Alex graduated from UCT's Theatre and Performance program in 2004.
Since then she has acted in Repertoire: The African Way for the 2004 German Arts and Culture Week, Breathing Spaces created by the Mothertongue Project for the 2005 Darling Voorkamer Fees. She has been performing in Juliet Jenkin's The Boy Who Fell From the Roof since it's opening in 2005 for which she was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Fleur de Cap and won the Michael MacLiammior Best Female Outstanding Performance Award at the 2007 Dublin Gay and Lesbian Theatre Festival.
She has done a number of radio voice overs, written text for a variety of small performance projects and recently directed 'Faces for Radio' for the Grahamstown Festival.
Alex also teaches voice at Wits School of Education.
